Brian A. Hannigan, Co-Founder & CEO:  Brian Hannigan founded RateElert.com in 2008 after recognizing the tremendous opportunity that existed for providing a better online shopping experience for the consumer looking to compare rates on insurance and financial service products, as well as a better internet sales system for partner carriers and agents. Brian has led the company to its current position as one of the industry leaders in “insurance leads” for Fortune 500 carrier’s and agents.

As CEO of RateElert.com, Brian is responsible for the company’s performance, online media buys, strategic vision, and the continued development of RateElert’s business model and related optimization technologies.

Brian began his career as co-founder of an independent insurance agency, growing his organization into one of largest auto and home agencies in the state of Michigan.

Brian received his Bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing from Buffalo State and was named a GTE Academic All-American hockey player and leading scorer for the Buffalo State Bengals and in the same year was a business student of the year finalist.  Brian is an avid runner and golfer and currently training for his 1st marathon next fall.

Martin G. Hannigan, CPA, CIC, Co-Founder & CFO: Martin Hannigan serves as RateElert’s CFO. He is responsible for maintaining monthly financial statements and auditing the companies partners and various lead buyers, as well as payment for the growing network of affiliate partners and monitoring the increased cash flows as the company grows.

Marty has been CFO of many major multi-state construction companies for over 25 years, and in 1998 co-founded an independent insurance agency. Under his leadership and guidance the agency achieved double digit growth every single year.  He also owned and operated one of the first insurance franchise distribution networks in the United States in partnership with a Major Retail Giant. In 1999 he was awarded the “Franchisee of the Year” award for the aforementioned distribution network.  

Marty graduated from the University of Detroit with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting & Finance. He also carries the prestigious designation of a Certified Insurance Counselor. He is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, Michigan Association of Insurance Agents and the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America.
